Hey guys, i have a 1984 z28 i had a couple of question's, im new to this car so please dont mind me being a noob. well i noticed that i am getting horrible gas milage, like 50 miles a tank, if even that. i also noticed that it seems like she is missing, when i drive it stuters not alot but you can tell, especially idaling in drive. i was just wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction, as to what's wrong. thanks. once again forgive me being a noob.

but what would cause the timing, to get off? cause i havent done anything mechanicaly, that would cause that, but i dont know thats why im a noob.

 

I am assuming that since this is a new car for you, you haven't done a complete tune up yet. Check the cap, rotor, coil, and plug wires. Replace worn parts. Replace your spark plugs. Check your timing. I have an '84 Z28 305 H.O. also and am getting ****ty mileage as well. I am gonna do a tune up tomorrow.
