Just Did The Heater Core....

you know...i was scared at first because of all the talk on these boards about how much of a pain in the butt it was...i got mine in and hour in little over an hour...my first time!

just gotta finish up the wiring and plumbing, fill with fluids and all done!

if i haven't mentioned before the previous owner pulled out all the heating equipment, i am putting it back in

lucky me he was nice enough not to hack up the wiring harness!, the hard part is getting the damn thing back in!

Early 3rdgens heater cores are very easy to replace. It only took me a half an hour to replace mine. Only needed a couple srew drivers and a wobble driver. We wont mention the upper screw which was "factory deleted"

I gotta do my heater core soon, before it gets too cold. What all is involved? What wiring were you refering to? My car is an '84 Z28.

It all depends on the vehicle. Lots of cars require total removal of the dash. Some are easy too. I consider the 3rd gen to be one of the easiest heater core vehicles out there. All you need is a 7mm socket and a few different length extensions. Here's a great guide.

I highly doubt that a '92 RS would require total removal of the dash. I would say it's exactly like any other 3rd gen and a 7mm socket would do the trick just like the link i posted.
