Car in storage...Start or Don't Start??

I've looked at posts and read about what to do when storing a car and I just have this question. Should I start the car periodically, like maybe once a month, or do I just keep it stored and start it up after the winter? I figure it will be stored for about 3-4 months. I've heard both sides say different things. What would you reccomend?

Prep it properly and leave it alone.

Every time you start it, you un-do the engine portion of the storage preps, and put moisture in the exhaust system.

Agreed. Do not start it. Leave it be. Almost every ounce of oil drains to the pan and if you start it once a week it is like starting it with no oil. There is no point in starting it other then when you need to drive it. My car has been stored its entire life and has gone 2+ years between starts. As long as it has a fresh battery, starting it is no problem.

Yes, filled tank and put in Sta-Bil. Also changed oil, and inflated tires. I know some people say to jack the car up and put it on stands, but I also heard if you inflate the tires enough you won't get flat spots. Is this OK?

I`ve gotten flat spots in my tires, they work there way out in a few days. (6 months time) One thing I always do if it stays out in the cold or an unheated garage is fog the intake with marine fogging oil, gives everything a nice layer of lasting oil so condensation will not start any rust around costly zero gap rings

I've heard about fogging. My car is not in a heated garage so should I do this? How do I spray it into the intake? Do I have to take the carb off?

I usually just spray it into the carb while the engine running..lightly at first then work my way to full tilt till it stalls it out.
