Fuel Line Size Question

Just a question for anyone who knows fuel systems. I am plumbing my fuel lines with -6 from carb to reg. and -8 from reg. to electric pump. I will not sump my tank for another year or so and I was wondering if using the 3/8" factory feed line would be an issue. Since the carb has a -6 fitting I don't see how the 3/8" factory feed would be an issue with the -8 line inbetween but I just wanted some more input.

Thanks.

I'm sucking fuel via mechanical engine-mounted pump through 3/8" line, feeding a 325 RWHP vehicle through the 1/4 mile with no problems.

You shouldn't have any problems pushing sufficient fuel through a 3/8" line.
