Electric Antenna Question...?¿

Hey Guys, will an electric stock antenna out of a Camaro from say.. 85-91
fit an 89 GTA? I found a few in the salvage yard today for $50. All the firebird ones were broken, or non electric. I have a dorky black plastic antenna now, that has gotta go! I guess the woman that had the car before me, didn't want to spend any bucks to fix it the right way. I want it back to original.
Thanks!
Ride on
Mike

The fender and inner fender at the door area are the same on the Camaro and Grand Theft Auto, since the GTA doesn't have the active vent outlets behind the wheels. Find an IROC or older Berlinetta with the power antenna and you're all set. Or get an aftermarket power antenna for less than $50.00. Don't be surprised if the antenna realy is toast, since that's about 30$ of the problems with power antennae.

Hey Vader, thanks man. I didn't think I could get an aftermarket Antenna for that car. 6 years ago when I had my 88 GTA, I was told that I couldn't get an aftermarket antenna because they were too big, the factory ones were thin in order to fit in the fender. But then again that was 6 years ago, things have probably changed now. I will check into it for sure, but at least I know now that the camaro ones will work.
Thanks man
