Very small coolant leak-cold start hose question
Very small coolant leak-cold start hose question
I have a 3.1L-6Cyl-with MFI.
I have had a VERY small leak of coolant around the water pump. It isn't very noticeable-but it is there. After having driven a few miles and the car is warm-you can smell the coolant. At first I thought maybe the water pump seal was bad. But now that I am in there, I noticed a tear in one of the the 90* tubes to the throttle body. (Cold start) We replaced this hose about 1-2 months ago. Is there something causing this hose to tear like that?? Incorrect pressure or flow? I don't see anything close enough to hit it. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks in advance.

Did you use hose that was rated for water/coolant ??
