Ok I just put a 350 in my camaro, its got a holley 600 carb, preformer manifold, accel distrubuter, and some other things but the problem is every time i go to put the car in any of the gears(its automatic) it dies pretty quick like the engine was just shut off i havent had the motor properly timed yet i just wanted to take down the road and back, the idles pretty high too its around 2500 and when i go to turn the ilde button down a little bit, it dies pretty quick!

1) Set timing properly
2) Park idle has to be higher than drive idle
3) Sounds like a carb problem... 600cfm, you might be choking that poor 350 lol... but I dont know

 

well ive fixed the idle problem, got it to about 1000 rpms but the car still dies when its put into gear?

 

have you tried messing with the drive idle? There should be "fast idle" and "curb idle" curb idle = park idle. fast idle = drive idle IIRC... could be wrong, am no expert.
