1991 RS 305 TBI 5-spd. just yesterday i programmed a new chip for it to disregard VATS. it was supposed to have some performance chip in it, so i took it out, read it, copied it, turned off vats, burned it to a new one, and hooked all the ECU stuff back up. im still getting a 'security' light, dunno if that's normal or not when the key is on, but the fuel pump isnt even coming on. and since the signition switch is busted from the previous owner (what a moron...) i can turn the key far enough see if it'll crank over. ...hmm...another reason to start stripping that bird...steering column...

Sounds like it's time to whip out the trusy meter and start checking voltages in various required circuits.

Since you know the ignition switch is FUBAR, replacing that might be a good idea, too.
