Question about AC delete

Hello. I want to remove the AC from my car. Can someone give me a quick walk thru? Also is there anything besides removing the pressure that I need to do/get before I start? Also I want to remove the power steering pump from the car as well and have heard that an S10 box will work. What years am I looking for as the donor?

Thanks in advance

bleed off the r12 before you break the fittings loose. there is a blower box for thirdgens without ac. makes a lot cleaner looking job. i have a manual box off a 86 s10 on my camaro but i believe any will work.

i did it not to long ago the condenser lines and compressor should be first after that make your way to the accumulator(silver can on pass side)there are a few bolts holding it to the frame then the top of the heater/ac box can be removed that will come off with no problem lift the evaporator out of the box with the accumulator still attached the box will be empty next go inside the car under the pass side there are two screws mounting the bottom of the box to the firewall next there are 3 bolts left on the box take them out and it'll slide rght out.however finding a heater only a/c box is tough you could use a piece of sheetmetal if you are nott worried about heat....
