Can't answer your question...I think I made a reply to some of this on the GP Board...
If you do not know you current heads combustion chamber volume, you cannot know what it will be with any other head...unless you pull yours (and check the other things I spoke about on the GP Board).
If I were you I'd be leary about the 9.65 number...IIRC you bought a supposed rebuilt motor and it ate itself at 400 miles? Not sure I'd belive the CR to be correct, or anything else the seller told me.
If I have you confused with someone else, my apologies.

no your right....well the stocl heads arnt they like 67cc or somthin like that? so i guess im stuff, i cant buy heads unless i rip into the motor to check on all the parts and to get the info to findout the comp? or what am i supost to do, i guess what i need to know is IF i got some ported l-98 heads and there 58cc and IF my moter is runnin 9.65:1 then what should i be at comp wise with some l-98s? i dont want to have to high of comp but i want better perfoemance and the next step is gettin heads.......

Assuming you have 083's (stock L98 heads) the chambers should be 64cc's, they're probably still close to that even after a rebuild.
Since the motor needs work, why not pull a head and find out what you have...i/e pistons and chambers...check to see how far down the piston is from the deck (at TDC), then plug in all the numbers into a CR calculator to see what you'll come up with.
If I didn't know for sure what I had, I wouldn't take a chance on spending a $1000.00+ on heads, only to find out that they weren't what I really wanted to have.
