Corvette rear end

A friend of mine wanted to know if the rear end from a 92 Vette would fit into his 91 Firebird.

With lots of work, anything will fit...but not a "bolt in"

Engine: 89 IROC 350 TPI
Transmission: 700R4 rebuilt w/TCI kit
Axle/Gears: 9" from 57 ranchero unsure gears.
I was thinking about doing the same thing to my monte, a lot of frame work and on the F-bodys you would have to have the frame connectors I think it would be easier if you found a wrecked vette cut the back half of the frame out and then installed it in your car. be a lot easier than attempting to get everything ligned up right.

'87 Monte Carlo SS,with '89 IROC 350,700 trans, blew up 3.73 posi stuck with crappy 2.73's neeed gears! hooker headers, flowmaster 2 1/2" exhaust true dualls, recently installed a set of alum vette heads 58cc, new cam for a paxton, recently installed paxton, OMG need a posi bad. So if anyone knows where a buick GN 8.5" rear is let me know.

Engine boy and Monte are not overstateing when they say alot of work "A ton would be more like it" Yea its possible to install one but it would be easyer and cheaper to re gear, install a power trax and you would end up with the same performance results.
SSC

PS, It would be hella cool to have a vett rear.
