cruise control

will set by pushing on the end of the switch but will not resume anyone know why and what is messed up?

It is quite possible that the slide switch ontacts in the control lever are failing or dirty. You can disconnect the wiring right at the base of the stalk and meter the switch for function and continuity. Remove the small cover from the side of the column and the connector will be readily apparent.
