Keeper stuck, any advise?
One of my valve locks are stuck, I'm using summit's spring compressor. What's the proper type of rope that's used to shove in the cylinder bore? I've got some salty dock lines, but don't think that would be good.
Thanks

Just get some 1/8"-1/4" rope from Wal-Mart. Stuff it in until you can't anymore, and then crank the piston against it with a breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley bolt. To get the keepers loose, put a large deep-well socket over the retainers and rap it with a hammer once or twice on each valve. There is some technique to it, so don't overdo it. Just enough to break the keepers loose. Hope this helps.
