A while back I got a code 43. This seriously made performance of my camaro drop. I replaced the knock sensor to correct this because it seemed like the logical choice. A few days passed with no code when all of a sudden today on my way home it came on. Throttle response dropped close to nill and my car just doesn't want to go. Is there anything else I should try, this is really getting to be a pain in the neck. I have a 91 Camaro RS LO3 305. Thanks for any help.

 

I would check the connection at the sensor and make sure the contacts aren't loose or corroded. You should also inspect the wires as far as you can for any obvious damage which could be shorting it out. Good luck!

 

What is the top speed you can go? Does it seem it very hard to move even with the pedal all the way to the floor?

Check the cable to the Throttle body that is connected to the Gas pedal and the Trans.

Then check the TPS.Then Check the MAP. Pretty much all the sensors to be safe. I recommend check the cables to the Throttle BODY.

 

When I get the code I don't know how fast I can get up to but I know when it's not on I can get going pretty dang fast. Also when the code comes on the car doesn't want to move but when I think about it acceleration has gotten a little slower.
