dia. for harmonic balancer/damper?

i was searching for a harmonic balancer for my 383 l98 (internally balanced)- and i noticed that there were a few different diameters to choose from- which do i get?

What happened to the balancer that the balancing was done with?

correct me if i am wrong- but there wasn't one needed when it was balanced since it is an internally balanced kit- therefore i would just buy a neutral balancer.

I do think you might be right. When my assembly was balanced, I needed my balancer, crank, and flywheel, and bobweight numbers. When I converted to an automatic trans, I did buy a neutral weight flexplate. Sorry. somtimes things get a bit confusing...LOL
