xtreme energy cams

I have a 84 carbed 305 lg4. When I get headers installed along with 3 inch exhaust can I use one of these cams and not whack out the computer? Olso what is max safe lift with my stock heads?

Yes.

About .475" is pretty much guaranteed safe on un-prepped heads.

Look at the XE256 if you still have the stock converter or gears; XE262 if you've upgraded both, or if it's a stick car with 3.42s or higher.

I was running a xe262 (Lg4 - ported & polished 416 heads, edelbrock performer intake, slp headers, edelbrock cat-back, slp converter) on the stock computer, qjet and cc-distrib for a while without any issues. Only reason I ditched the CC stuff was because I scored a hell of a deal on a new ignition setup and carb (holley).
