i just got a new battery today and everything works, lights, radio etc. but when i turn it over all i get its a tiny little clicking noise. i dont have the slightest clue. the car has not been driven in about a year due to a knock thats coming from the engine and no funds to fix it. anyone have any ideas or suggestions ?

Bad battery cable, or bad connection where one of them hooks up (either the + one at the starter, or the - one at the block)

if it's not a loose connection as rb stated, the starter solenoid is bad.

Check your ground cable connections. It is best to run large (0-2)negative cable directly from the battery terminal to the engine block.
