Wipers

I'm really not sure where to post this, so I'm doing it here. Something that has bugged me for a while and I'm just curious if anyone has the same problem. My windshield wipers work fine, but there are no intermediate settings. I only get two settings, moderately fast or REALLY fast . So if there is just a little sprinkle of rain, I have to go down the road turning my wipers on and off.

Not really a big deal, just curiousity mostly.

Provided that the switch on the signal lever arm is functioning, most of the control for the intermittent wiper system are in the cover for the wiper motor.

I have the intermediate function on my car but it has 2 other speeds, slow and a little faster , but the fastest speed would only be the medium speed of most other vehicles, I have to use rain-x or during a heavy rain I would have to pull over because they just don't go very fast, it's been like that since it was new, anyone else have this problem?
