Returning engine to factory spec. url?

Just wondering if someone has a link to step by step instructions on the procedures of how to return an L03 to factory spec. IAC, Timing, and anything else that may be included... My car is possessed at the moment, and no matter what i do, something else goes wrong. I have a Haynes manual somewhere... still looking for it.

Any direction pointing would make my day

Cheers,

Landon

LO3, is a 305 TBI?

If so, base timng is "0" (zero) degrees. IAC can only be reset, not adjusted, Tech Central mainpage may help you out.

I know I saw a post of yours before, but you may want to just list your setup and problems, and go from there?

Set my timing to 0* a couple of minutes ago. The engine still runs very rough. I'm currently doing a compression test. I've looked over the electrical so many times I think this must be a valvetrain problem . I'll take your advice and start a thread that contains my compression per cylinder and problems I'm having... Aswell as pictures of any fouled up plugs.

Cheers,

Landon

Sound slike you need a tune up. Have you outruled a bad CTS or 02 sensor? The simpilist things can make these cars run like poo.

Just replaced the CTS. 02 isn't throwing an SES light, but all other sensors do, and disconnecting the O2 causes the SES to come on. Shouldn't it be fine? The timing is set to 0*. No vacuum leaks. Cap, rotor, wires are all MSD, checked, and new. Plugs are new autolite platinums with proper gap. Waiting for the rain to stop, so I can get my compression test going.

Shifty I'll point you to a new thread I started, which goes over the problem I'm having fairly specifically. A few people have replied, and I think we may be close to finding the problem.

As for now, the car is running completely fine. It just started to run alright yesterday in the middle of a drive, without any bumps, or weird temperatures, so I'm not sure why it's so intermitent...

Thanks for the reply!

A bad 02 won't always throw a code. They are notorious for that in TBI vehciles. Have you outruled something simple as in bad plug wires are a fouoled plug? A few minutes with an Ohm meter can help check most ignition parts.
