Head combustion chamber re-sizing...

I know a head can be changed from 58cc to say, 64cc, but can you go the other way, from 64cc to 58cc? Thanks guys.

Not realistically. Either you have to weld the chamber up (not the best idea but doable and expensive if done correctly) or you shave the crap outa the head, which I have never thought was a good idea.

Well, that sucks. I guess that is what I get for not reading the email enough. I bought a set of AFR 190's that are 74cc, and I need 64cc. I must have read the email wrong, damn I am stupid. I guess I'll just have to sell them on eBay or something. Thanks.

You may want to contact AFR about an exchange.

AFR's supposedly have a thick deck that allows milling for that purpose, I for some reason thought you were talking about stock heads. I would contact them, see what they say can be milled off a 74cc head, but I'd venture a guess that somewhere around 67 would be a good place to stop.

Not to worry. Your heads can be angle milled to the desired compression. Go with a thinner head gasket if you need a little more.
