high oil pressure

After getting all my mods done to my car my oil pressure is running 60 above is that bad? I'm thinking that the gauge broken ? Please help me out thanks

Rather than trust the dash guage, you could verify its accuracy with a separate guage.

What "mods"? Moreover, what viscosity lubricant is in the sump?

You might want to check the wiring and connectors for that sensor as well. I know mine is rigged together, and my gauge bounces around quite a bit. If the sensor wire gets grounded to the block or your exhaust (headers that may have melted the sensor wire?) etc then I think the gauge is gonna read 60+ all day.

Where is sensor wire at? Do you have a pic?

it should be on connected to the oil pressure sending unit which should be located on the divers side rear right by the back of the intake manifold a tad right of the driver side head.
