Fuel delivery question
Explain why a stock TBI fuel pump won't work with a carb. I know the pressure is too high but how high, what is the norm for a carb and what are ways around the problem.
Can I use the same fuel line on a mech pump and cut the wires to the electronic pump?
Why have I been told to use a bypass type regulator. Why the bypass and not just a regular regulator?

Normal carb pressure is around 6 psi or so. Any more than that and it will flood.
A bypass regulator sends excess fuel back to the tank. A deadhead regulator will just stop the flow and will eventually kill the pump.
