fuel pressure regulator
I have recently replaced my fuel pump on my 305 tbi firebird with
a fuel pump for a tpi firebird. My question is are the fuel pressure
regulators interchangeable like the fuel pumps are????????????

I think your question may really be "Will the pump for TPI blow up my TBI regulator?"
The answer is "No."
The TPI pump is just made to handle more pressure, ~45-50psi where a TBI uses ~12-15psi.
Trying to use a TBI pump for TPI would not work at all.

I believe that I read in this forum somewhere that I could
replace my tbi fuel pump with a fuel pump that will fit the tpi
engine.
My problem is the fuel pressure wasn't that great and it appears
to be the same issue with the new pump. So by process of
elimination I am figuring that the fuel pressure regulator is the
culprit. So I was wondering if I replaced the stock regulator that
came with the tbi engine on my car with a regulator designed
for a tpi engine would work since I have already did a swap
with the fuel pump??????
Or should I just get a high performance regulator that is
designed to fit my engine configuration??????
