hey im the one that cant get his firbird tpi 350 to start ... it was just flooding all the time... well my car wouldnt start so i got bored and decided to mod the maf by removing the screens... and when i did out of curiosity i tried to start my car and what do you know it started right away... what the hell i thought it wouldnt start at all with out the maf... and it dosnt flood now is it the maf sensor should i just go get another?

help guys...

 

So you're saying that with the maf unplugged it started fine??? Then yea, it's the maf! Check the wiring to the maf relays also-make sure they're not shorted where they go into the relay plugs (it happens). Get some new relays and a maf. No codes? Well sometimes it won't set the code at first; it can take a while, and in the meantime it'll drive you crazy! (been there done that!)

like drive it said, sounds like something in the relays/maybe the MAF itself.
