You need a pair of fuel lines specific to the serpentine system. They are much shorter than the lines used for the v-belt system and route the lines between the alternator and valve cover. Sorry, but it looks like you won't be using your car Monday....

the 88-later setupsplits the fuel linesonegoing above the alternator bolt and the other below.you couldbend the originals but they may crack then you are back to square one,or go the the auto parts store and get hi pressurehose cut the fuel lines and run soft lines to the originals until you get the correct lines coming from the plenum.dont cut the hard lines going along the frame rails to the pump or you'll be screwed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, i put in a 90 305 in my car and it had all the acc and the serpintine belt. For now, i bent the hard lines so that that i can atleats move teh car around, just be sure not to bent it too much in one place.

damn. I was afraid of something like that. Wish I would have known before I started. Does gm still make these lines? Or will I have to buy them used? Thanks for the help.

if I did the rubber line thing for now How safe is that really? I have no idea of the pressure that goes through there or anything. I got to get to school on monday and its 25miles away from me and I dont want to be stranded with a burnt up car.

Also If any of you did this switch and kept emissions what did you do with that metal pipe that runs from the back of the block, along the valve cover and into that diverter valve thingy on the passenger side??? It is too long for the new valve.

Yes, GM still has them available, and if I remember correctly, they are about $12 each.
