I think before anyone can help you, you need to tell us whether this will be a daily driver, and if so what kind of performance are you looking for. Do you prefer carburetors or fuel injection? By the way what kind of car are you building the engine for?

OK, stupid me, I just looked at your username, and I'm assuming it's an RS. OH, and one more thing, being in AZ are there difficult emission laws that you have to worry about?

I think Mark is 100% right. You need to decide what you want from the engine before you lift a wrench. You should decide if the car will be a daily driver, how much $$ do you wanna spend, are emissions/gas mileage a factor, what kind of intake are you going to run, and a realistic horsepower goal. Then we can help you out a little more with selecting parts. Also look around these boards and read people's sig's. If you copy an engine used by a fellow thirdgener then you should get very similar results.

good luck
