What size are my valves??

I need to know what size valves my stock 83 T/A with the LG4 has. I know for a fact the motor has never been apart, so they are original. I got another 305 motor for free. It has 1.85 valve heads w/ casting #14022601. They are of an 84 casting year. THX

1983 T-top Trans Am. All stock (for now) LG4/auto/3.73 posi. 70,000 original miles. SLOWLY going through a Knight Rider conversion. (it will be done one of these years)

1.84" intake, 1.50" exhaust. Should be exactly the same as the '84 engine.

Why are you asking? If you're thinking of putting the '84 heads on the '83 engine, there's no difference. If you're thinking of having the '84 heads worked over for performance, then don't bother - get a set of World Products S/R Torquer 305 heads and have them pocket ported (at least). 1.94"/1.50" valves, better combustion chamber design, better flow, screw-in rocker studs, thicker deck - no good reason for sticking with factory heads (and those who know more than me say use 416 castings if working over factory heads).
