Shorties can get installed after the engine gets dropped in. I would personally install them after, more space around the engine to move around with, if need be.

There are problems with that combo? I have LTs and plan on getting a T5 very soon.

With my hedman long tubes the only way to get them in/out is to pull the motor.

I put my engine in all the time with my SLP headers already on the engine.I do this becuz I find it easier to properly torque down all the header bolts. Yes, I knowit can be done after but I have not had any trouble getting the engine in with them on. I also have no A/C either so that helps a bit. I put my engine in once with header , clutch and bellhousing already on and I will say this.... major PITA. Iwont do that again.

My hedman shorties hit when attached to the motor. Its easiest to put them on when the motors 1-2" above the motor mounts.

i'm going to put the headers in just before i drop the motor all the way down, I was going to bolt the bell housing on too, becasue that one bolt on the d/s is a pita to get to.

speaking of that "one bolt on the drivers side" !!!!!!!!!! I am pulling my 700r4 out of my 91 camaro. I have never done this before so it is all new to me. I have everything that needs to be disconnected cables, lines, crossmember, mount etc. I just cant seem to get to that one d*mn bolt. I used two 10" extensions. I get the socket on the bolt but then there is no room to turn the ratchet. I tried using a wobble socket but that just seemed to make it harder. To me it was harder that is. I am going to buy another extension and see if I can get to it any better to turn the ratchet. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!!!
