Hey, I am having some trouble with my 89 305 tpi trans am. The car takes a lot of effort to start it and then once it is started it idles really rough (shaking). When the engine is fired a puff of blue smoke exits the exhuast pipes (this is not new however) but now you can smell a strong smell of gas. Even after the car is warmed up for awhile it still has trouble idleing properly. And also, when the engine is warmed up then turned off and then turned back on a couple minutes later, it still takes a lot of cranking to get it started again. I checked all the hoses and they seem to be properly attached, but i cannot figure out the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank You

 

my car was sorta doing the same things and over the winter i replaced the plugs, wires, and cap and rotor and everything was ok. maybe your injectors need cleaned out.
