Studs pulled out, now motor runs like crap!
The other day I rapped the motor in my 82 z28 pretty good the i went through 1st 2nd then 3rd then I heard a loud pop noise and I shut it down the car started to run like major poo. I pulled into a gas station and the car was Idling over 1500 (norm is 800) and I heard a loud ticking right off the bat i knew it was rockers. at this point i drove at no higher than 1000 rpm the five miles to my house pulled the valve cover and the intake rocker arm for #3cyl was off the spring and the stud was pulled out of the head about .25 inches and the exhaust was barley on and that stud also pulled out. so i pulled the studs out got some cheater studs tapped them and installed put the rockers back on the set the lifters perfect. know the car seems like it has a miss to it. I changed the plugs checked all my wires it's just at a low rpm it is hesatent. and before the studs pulled the motor would have no problem rapping up to 4000 at an instant. I'ts pissing me off and I have no clue whats wrong. Could I have dropped a valve. Please any ideas would help. help me fix my baby.

Could have a bent valve or pushrod but the easiest thing you could do is to check and recheck your lash, maybe you overtightened the rockers or something...
