Problem: Vortec TPI base
Problem: Vortec TPI base
I'm about half way through my vortec head/base swap, and I am kind of got a problem. There are more holes in the new base than the old. Can you guys help me identify some of them and what I need to do with them

#1. The bolt hole inbetween the front driverside bolt holes. It is directly over the water passage but does not appear to go through to it.
#2. The hole inbetween the distributer hole and egr tube attachment. It does go all the way through to the passage. (not the dis hold down the other one.)
#3. Inbetween each injector pair is a small bolt hole.
I really need help here... sorry if I am a little incoherent, but I spent all day in the garage tearing down the engine and I am a little worn out to say the least.

Hey bud,
#1-the one on the front driver's side between the manifold bolt holes is for a small arm thing that holds a vacuum hose that comes off the throttle body, don't need it if you don't have it, it doesn't go all the way through.
#2-Its probobly is there for some bracket that not all cars had. If you don't have anything to put on it, just plug it. Simple!
#2-The little holes between the injectors- i don't know what they are for, but you can leave them the way they are. Most aftermarket manifolds have them, my Accel does. I left them open- no problem there.
Hope this helps.
