ok, according to their site, the rapid fires come pregapped, and they say that the package even says not to gap them. and the computer at autozone said they cam gapped, however mine were way off from the right gap, and i think the box even said to gap them. wuts up with ac delco??

they do pre gap them to the "most commonly used" gap they will be used for, BUT once in a while will be off, its allways a good idea to check them before you put them in.

 

the pre gapped part means they don't want you changing the gap. if you can read it not only says pre gapped, it also says "do not regap". this is for a reason. it's how they get away with the heat range capability and what they feel to be best for spark capability.

 

hower on the box it says gap vehical specs.. but the website and the comp at autozone say dont...

You could have just saved yourself the time, and some money, if you would have just got the regular AC Delco plugs. The rapid fires will give you absolutely zero advantage over the regular plugs. It's just another way for AC Delco to make a few extra bucks.
