Problem with Oil leak

I just put my new engine in and went to start the engine and oil started to come out of this hole. It looks like a bolt hole but im wondering if something is supposed to be mounted there. Its on the right back of the block looking at it so if anyone could look for me and tell me what goes there it would really help thanks

Dude, thats the port for your oil pressure sending unit. Stick one in there, or put in a plug and fire er up.

Some people are unaware their are 2 locations for the sending unit, One up by the dizzy and the one down by the filter

Just plug whichever one your not going to use and youll be good to go!

Is it possible to not have one down by the filter? My block doesn't seem to have one. I guess I can allways add oil (new motor that the guy up above built for me ((thebigwelsh)) ) and prime the motor and see if any spills out.

thebigwelsh, you have a PM

Yes it's possible. Either location works. Double check to make sure there isnt a pipe plug in there somewhere.
