I have a 92 Camaro RS it will crank but will not start. I am having the coil tested here in just a minute. After that I am just not sure what i will do. It is also really cold here. All help is greatly app. this is currently my only car need to get it fixed ASAP!!! thanks.

 

Are you getting spark and are you getting fuel you can see by spraying crab cleaner in the throttle body if it turns on for a little while your getting spark but no fuel if not your probly not getting spark.

 

What happened right before this started?

Did you drive it home last night and park it, and ot won't start this morning?

Have you been working on it?

 

I started it and move up from the street to the driveway it started fine. I loaded some stuff into the car went to leave and it would not start. I have changed the distributor cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires.

P.S. That was the first start of the day. thank you for all the help in advance. triing to find me a second body to help check for spark. I am pretty sure that i am getting gas. it was parked over night before this happend. every now and then it would idle a little rough until it warmed up then it would run fine. I just figured it was because it was cold but now i am starting to wonder. thanks again for the help in advance.

 

Spray starting fluid into the T.B.I. unit and crank it over. If it starts, you have probably lost the fuel pump. If it doesn't start, check the wiring going to the ignition module to make sure it isn't frayed, rotted, ect. If that all checks out, have a buddy crank it while you check for spark. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say that I suspect your ignition module has gave up the ghost, but it's better to chase it backwards rather than throw money at parts you don't need.

 

please guys i have this exact problem ive already replaced the cap and rotor i have an msd distributor with an eccel cap and rotor so in or for me to replace the module ill need to just get a whole new distributor im getting spark fuel and air i dont know what else to do ive tried starting fluid also

what tests did you do?

 

i see the fuel coming in there is nothing obstructing the air coming in and i checked to see if there is spark im getting all

 

it didnt do anything different when i spray in the starting fluid
