Vacuum for Brakes

Since my cam dosent make a lot of vacuum, I put in a vacuum reservoir and it helped, but the brakes still werent too good. Well since its winter rebuild time Ive put on a Holley DP and some hotter plugs, and its like a completely different motor now. I roll into the throttle in first gear, roast the tires, shift into second, still burnin them up, shift into third, they start to grab but just cant hold onto it and still keep spinning.

But the wierd part is my brakes are now good. I slammed on them cuz thats what I was used to having to do, but this time it brought the car to a quick stop. I didnt think just changing to a better carb would help the vacuum out. Whats the explanation for this sudden, but good change?

Somehow, you are either producing a lot more vacuum or you are doing a lot of leg press's at the gym. Also, maybe the problem was due to an air bubble getting caught somewhere.

The cars running better in every way possible, so Im happy

I also just remembered I switched the vacuum line for the brakes from the intake to the carb. I didnt think it would make any difference. Mabey it did
