Getting block splayed to a 4, what caps to get

Getting block splayed to a 4, what caps to get

What main caps should i get? The machine shop will splay my 2 bolt roller block into a 4 for added strength. I would appreciate some help : )

wow the machine shop wants 500-600 to do this. Does that sound right?

Probably. They'd have to mill out the block, register the caps, drill and tap the new holes, and align hone it.

k its well worth it.

My total for all of this is 1400

Bore .30 over

Clearanced for the 383 crank

383 rotating assembly ballanced and installed

Caps splayed to a 4 bolt

He said bore with plates? i I didnt understand what plates

They bolt a plate to the deck to guide the cutter, instead of just letting it center itself in the existing bore.

I don't know if it's worth the extra cost for 4 bolt caps unless you're really going to beat on it.
