Starting trouble.

I have done a search and read quite a few threads.

For some reason my car will randomly not start. I mean not even turn over, no click, just nothing. I do get dash lights and can hear the fuel pump turn on, I have lights, radio ect. I can bypass everything with a screwdriver on the solnoid on the starter and it will start. I doesnt seem to matter if its warm/cold ect. Seems totally random. I can sometimes go for days with no probs.

Im leaning towards neutral safety switch or maybe my computer is pissed off for some reason or other. The car was originally a TPI, I converted it to carb. The harness is still in the car with the ends all taped up.I checked the wires and dont see any problems there. How hard is it to get to the neutral safety switch(85 T/A 305TPi, auto)?

Any Ideas??
