Code 33 and code 36
Code 33 and code 36
For the last few weeks I would get a SES light while driving that would affect the idle and just run rough. Once I shut the car off it would reset and be fine. Today I was going home and something different happened. It started running real rough, and shut down. Before I could give it gas with no problem, now when I hit the gas, it stalls. Now the car isn't running at all. It will start, run with a real rough idle, and stall out. It dies anytime you hit the gas. I'm getting a code 33 and 36. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks,

my haynes says that 33 is a "MAP sensor" problem.
"Check the vaccum hoses from the MAP sensor. Check the electrical connectionsa t teh ECM. replace the Map sensor."
sorry code 36 isnt in here. there is some reasource around the site if you look around.

I'd check the fuel pressure first. Fuel filter or pump going bad will cause a lot of false trouble codes to pop up since the ECM is seeing conditions that aren't within spec.
