Okay..stupid question time

I am sure everyone other than me knows the answer because I never see it even pondered or mentioned.

How do I know if I need self aligning rockers or not. The only place I see them specified is on the lt4 hot cam. I have a cc503 cam that is going into the lt1 for my IROC...

What do I need, self aligning or non-self aligning.

I, the unwashed thank you for the help and information.

Factory heads from '87-up (LT1 included) need self-aligning rockers, or need to be prepped for guide plates.
