engine still smoking
Ok, so I had to replace my engine and were doing the breakin part of driving it right now. Were about 500 miles through in and the engine is still smoking when you rev it. My dad says the rings have not seated yet. Anyone know how long that takes normally? Also, does anyone have a good way to make sure the rings seat. And does anyone have any suggestions to how to get it to stop smoking if its not the rings? Thanks

coolant leak then, is your coolant level dropping? possibly a leak intake manifold gasket

crap
Yea actually My coolant level has been dropping. We also had a leak on the side of the radiator, so we just blamed that. Any way I can check to make sure that is it, besides taking off the manifold?

well white smoke all the time is coolant or water in the exhaust, meaning the engine is sucking it down somewhere. white smoke initially could possibly be condensation in the exhaust pipes, but after 5 minutes should be gone.
