Fuel pump help please

hey, got an 89 Iroc 350 TPI that left me stranded the other day.
Car bogged really bad then died on me, went to start and cranks great and i just changed plugs and wires on it. No fuel pressure at the fuel rail and the pump dont come on when key is in on position, checked the fuse and it was fine but changed it anyways and still nothing. Im 99% sure it a bad pump but could be a realy maybe?Car is 66 miles away right now so i cant get to it until this weeken to work but i plan on buying a new fuel pump and take all i need to swap out the pump, what im really looking for is some tips, pointers, pictures, link, etc on taking out a fuel pump on our cars, i know its not going ot be easy but my buddy had done a few on other cars ( with fuel pump in tank ) so im sure it wont be too bad, but any help would be awomse guys.
Im searching the site too. Some other info, car has 91,000 miles on it, original pump, fuel filter prolly hasnt been changed for 3 or 4 years, car had a fuel tank of gas when stoped.

Get the rear of car way in the air and use jack stands under the frame. Unbolt the track bar. Unbolt the swar bar end links. Un bolt the shocks from rear end. WATCH OUT FOR BRAKE LINE ON TOP OF DIFFERENTIAL, you may have to remove it too. This will let the rear end down as far as possible.
Disconnect the wiring harness lead un the underbody just in front of the tank too.

You should have 4 lines going to the tank on the upper drivers side. Dissconnect the lines (vent, charcoal canister, fuel return, and fuel feed) watch out for gas pouring out. You will need to un bolt the fuel filler trim around the neck and the fuel door on the side of you car and remove it with the fuel door flap thing.

Now you should be able the remove the 2 metal straps that hold the tank against the car. You will have to wrestle it out. Spin the top off the tank with a screwdriver or something and remove the pump system.

Not too bad just time consuming. Hope this helps...

it would totally suck if the hot wire to the ignition module was broken or corroded and you weren't prepared for it!
