cant find the fuel filter

i feel like such a tool for asking but i got to know where is the fuel filter on an 88 305 tpi?

Axle/Gears: GM 10 bolt Posi
Drivers side, its in the area in front of the left rear tire. It's a little smaller than a soda can and is held in with a bracket with one bolt, I believe. Just a tad smaller than a soda can, same shape. Look for the fuel lines leading to it.


Edit: Also, be careful if you are replacing the filter, the fittings commonly rust together, and you risk breaking a line. If they are rusted on, soak them with a rust penetrant, such as PBblaster.

use flare wrenches if you have em, and soak in PB blaster...

On my gf's car i kinked the line, its not fun to replace fuel line in the winter either...

It's kind of like an "almost" box wrench, except it has a slit for the line to go through.. Lets you grab more of the fastener on line fittings..
