How do you install an MAF sensor?

2.8 V6 1988 Camaro, How do you install the MAF? Is it as easy as it looks and should be? do I have to do any calibrating like I did with the TPS or is it simply remove air intake, remove MAF from end of intake, put new one on and plug in?

thought it was easy enough, I've done almost all the repairs on my car myself (recently though workin two jobs I just sent it to my mechanic and got some of the last touches done - oil change, coolant flush, TPS calibration.. general crap that's just time consuming but important..) and He tells me "you're pulling a bad MAF code" I know this. Can do it for $100 - says he. I know the part costs $50. And unless he's replacing/calibrating something I didn't know about it's certainly not $50 worth of labor in there. Are there other relays and such that might be causing the bad code? If so how do I check them? Would I use like a voltometer to see if the wire has the proper voltage, etc? I'm tired of wasting money on parts I probably don't need, but my electrical system has generally rotted to bejeezus and back so... I'm testing wiring as bad parts before more sensors..Relays are generally $10 or so, so replacing one of them rather than the $50 MAF would be preferable..

a bad maf code can be the relay and/or the sensor, be sure before spending $50....
