cam question

has any one used this cam in a fairly stock motor and if so what results did u get (hp, drivability ect...) thanks Voodoo Camshafts
Camshaft & Lifter Kit
Lift: .489''/.504''
Duration: 268°/276°
RPM Range: 1800-6200

638-60103LK
The most awesome ''268'' cam ever produced! Out-powers all others! This high performance street cam likes 2400 RPM stall, 700 cfm carb, dual plane intake and headers. Makes un-equaled power to 62200 RPM with proper valve springs. If you're looking for a very strong cam with great street manners for you ''crate motor'', this is it! EFI motors need custom chips / tuning.
Advertised Duration : 268° /276°
Duration @ .050 IN/EX : 227° /233°
Gross Valve lift IN/EX .489''/.504''
LSA and ICL 110/106

That cam runs fairly similar to the Comp XE274. Its not a really good cam to use with a 'stock' engine, unless its a bigger small block like a 383 or a 400... it needs quite a bit of compression from the smaller engines, like a 327 or a 350. At least 10:1 I would say. Its about the biggest you would want to run on the street with anything smaller than a 383.

I ran that briefly in my 350, with 416 heads, ported. 10:1 CR, etc. It's very close to the compxe 268. I consider it pretty street friendly, it idled fine, power brakes were ok, etc.

I lost 4 lobes on it in a month, so that's why I don't have it now. I blame break in, not lunati, but I would have had to pay shipping to get another replacement one, so I just got the comp xe268 off the shelf instead.

blackgold84 has that cam, and so does bigchief.
