Take off problem

I was driving my Z28 the other day when I found myself in front of my friends house, who left some black marks in front of my house at about 1 in the morning. I thought it was fair for me to do the same. I came to a stop and turned it up to about 3 grand and dumped the clutch and it just fell on it's face. After a sec or two it took off but did'nt spin at all. I like it hooking up if it wasn't for the hesistation. The carb floats are adjusted to when I shake the fender a little fuel runs out. I have jet extensions in the back bowl. My timing is at 41 degrees full advance. The car likes alot of timing. The car runs between 160 and 175 degrees. This just started. the last time I was at the track I spun through 1st 2nd and rd on street tires, and I raced my buddys mustang on the street and spun also, still won. I also tried taking off at a higher rpm like 4500 and 5500 on street tires and still the same problem. The only things I have changed was I put some lake wood drag shocks on the rear and bought a fabricated cross member for the six speed instead on the crappy one I had. The car has had a tune up about two weeks ago msd wires new plugs, cap, rotor fuel filter the works. I have a Holley blue pump on it that is new like the rest of it. Fuel pressure it set at 6 psi and doesn't drop. I have also checked it for vacuum leaks and found none. I don't want to bottle it until I fix this problem. The car runs great other wise. Any help would be great thanks.

you weren't in 3rd gear when you revved it and dumped it? Sounds dumb but that's all I can think of.

It runs ok otherwise? If you're driving down the street in 3rd gear, and just mash it, it goes, or it stumbles then too?

When I dumped it I was in first gear every time. If I start of at a roll in first gear and then floor it it's fine. The car runs great until you try to launch it hard .
