Motor mount insert question
I have installed these mounts before, and they are a pita. My question is, how do you get the Es inserts in the metal clamshell? Can you do it bolted to the car or should you take the mount off and open it somehow? also does ES make a mount withe the metal shell already on?

The directions tell you to remove the mount, drill out the rivets, put the insert in, squeeze the shells together with a vise, and use the supplied cable ties to hold it together until you get it bolted back in the car.
I did mine on the car while the engine was out. Removed the lower mount bolt, drilled the rivet, pryed the shell up to get the old insert out and the new one in, and squeezed the shell together enough with vice grips to get the bolt started.

if you happen to be replacing the front springs at the same time, it makes it A BREEZE since you can get to the nuts very very easily. Kill 2 birds with one stone... If you were doing the front springs / a-arm bushings though.
