how to remove A/C components

Hey guys if this is the wrong forum im sorry, i purchased a 86 camaro with a built 350 outa a 72 camaro, the prevoius owner removed the ac lines but left the box there. How do i remove The ac box and if i remove it will i be able to still keep the fan in the car for a defroster? Any help if great.

Search on here, or on eBay, for a 1LE fan box. Im not exactly sure what is required for the swap, but 1LE cars came factory with no a/c but still had the fan and heater. When I built my car, I took the entire box out and sheet metal'd over the hole (drag car though, keep in mind). Id say just leave it there for now, other than looks its not hurting anything just sitttin there.
