Quick ? about cam/ converter stall
If you don't have a high enough stall conv. for your cam what will the car act like. The reason i ask is i have a comp xe274 and a 2400 stall conv. and it will barely idle in D.
thanks.
thanks.

that stall with that cam will be fine but a 2800 stall or so would be better from a launch standpoint.

It'd act like driving a stick, and letting out the clutch at too low of an RPM. It'll be kinda lazy, 'cuz it's in gear, but you're not making enough power to make it fun to drive. A higher stall just increases the "fun" factor.
It won't have anything to do with this. You probably need gobs more timing at idle, and/or to up your idle speed.
