2 questions

first, iwhat if anything do you need to do to run 116 octain race fuel? and whats the worst that can happen when you dont run an airfilter on a carb?

You don't have to "do" anything to run high octane racing fuel. You do "need" to use racing fuel in order to justify it. 14:1 compression is one reason to "need" it. Running it in a low compression engine will actually slow you down vs. running the proper octane.

Running without an air filter allows the engine to injest abrasive particles that will wear it out. You can also get dirt in carb passages that mess up the carb operation.
