performance chips?
I got an 87 trans am with a 305 in it and i could really use some more power, do you think that a performance chip would make a big difference and if not what would(tryin to keep it around 500) i just basicly want more acceleration, not top speed.Any good ideas?

Which 305, LG4 (carb) or LB9 (TPI fuel injection)?
Either way, a chip would make very little difference. Gears will make a big difference in off-the-line acceleration. Of course, more power makes more difference as well. Such as a 350.
See the sig for a carb'd version (very much like yours if you have the LG4) that accelerates very smartly, has top end, and still gets decent gas mileage.

I just got a "chip". Its a resistor that goes into the MAF sensor. I have a 3.1L V6 and I could feel a little better response and acceleration.
